Vision — our research crawler
Vision is a research crawler operated by Zerologic Design Studio, from India.
What it collects
It collects public product catalogue data from Indian direct-to-consumer commerce websites, so we can study how those catalogues change over time. The research is about the category, not about any single company.
Vision reads the public product listing that your store already publishes — product names, categories, sizes, prices, and whether an item is in stock. It records what those look like each week, so we can see what changed.
That is all it collects.
What it does not do
- It does not sign in, create accounts, or submit forms.
- It does not add anything to a cart or begin a checkout.
- It does not read anything behind a login.
- It does not collect personal data, customer data, or order data.
- It does not estimate or publish your revenue, traffic, or sales.
How often it visits
Once a week, and no more than one request every two seconds. Vision is built to be slower than a single human browsing your site.
How it identifies itself
Requests carry this user agent:

Vision reads and honours robots.txt before it visits, and rechecks every
30 days. To block it, add this to

Disallow: /We will stop, and we will not visit again.
